Change is EVERYTHING.....

The 2007 campaign leading to the 2008 elections is brutally infantile and is an embarrassment at best. On one end of the spectrum you have the candidates that will speak of nothing but the war and on the other a president who won't say two words about it. Personally if the democrats lose this election they should pack it up. I will vote for the candidate that will fix my country. Where are all the plans to fix our foreign policy? An exit strategy that doesn't require a 10 year time table? Universal heath care? The environment? Regulating big business? Ending our dependency on oil altogether not just foreign? Stopping hate crimes and outrageous violence due to the misunderstanding of one another and the completely narcissistic view that one race or country should dominate another? Holding accountable EVERYONE that was responsible for and profited from this war? If any politician even began to cover this list not only could they be my president for eight years; they could be my monarch.

Nuff Said.....

The Jena 6 situation is nothing new. It is a reflection of the real nation that is scraping along the underbelly of the flags and monuments we proclaim to the rest of the world. There is nothing United about the states we live in. I am not just speaking of the African American plight but every minority homosexual atheist and polytheistic group in the country. People say "Save the Earth" like its going somewhere. It's been here for billions of years and will continue. Whether we are here with it is the real issue.

Where is my country?

And so it begins; yet another vicious campaign cycle featuring two sides of the same party benefiting no one.
No one working to solve any problems, no one listening to the cries of the American people, the completely spent military (whose time and efforts would be much more appreciated in places like Dar fur) and the global environment itself.
It is very easy to point the finger and accuse everyone else for our problems instead of owning them and solving them. We are on the edge of an oblivion. America and the world as a whole is reaching the proverbial EVENT HORIZON ; where any hope of the country being viewed as the lighthouse of the world will soon be snuffed out.
